Dr. Steve Janosik
Steve Janosik is senior policy analyst and Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). In addition, he received his B.S degree (1973) in Business Administration from Virginia Tech, an M.A. degree (1975) in counseling and student personnel services from the University of Georgia, and Ed. D. degree (1987) in Educational Administration from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Janosik has over 20 years of experience in college administration. He has authored or co-authored 2 books, 11 book chapters, and 54 journal articles on the topics of campus crime, college administration, higher education law and policy, liability and risk management, residence life, and student development. Steve has received the Outstanding Research Award from Commission III of the American College Personnel Association and the D. Parker Young Award for outstanding scholarship and research
in the areas of higher education law and judicial affairs. Most recently, he received the Outstanding Contribution to Student Affairs through Teaching Award from NASPA Region III.
Dr. Racheal Stimpson
Racheal Stimpson is a consultant for NASCAP and teaches Women's Studies for Alamance Community College. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from Virginia Tech, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from UNC Greensboro, and a B.A. in English from Elon University.
Dr. Stimpson has more than 10 years of experience in various areas of higher education including student activities, orientation, judicial affairs, academic affairs, research, and grants. She has authored several journal articles and a book chapter. She received the Research and Scholarship Award from ACPA’s Standing Committee for Women in 2009.
